Diggnation is a talk show where Kevin Rose, founder of Digg, Pownce and Revision3, and Alex Albrecht, an internet celebrity, talks about the hottest news of the week that were featured on Digg.com. This show is by far the most popular show on the online video site revision3.com and is definitely one of my ‘must watch’ podcasts each week.

Diggnation is launched to its paid subscribers every Saturday morning (Singapore time) and then released to the public for free on Sunday afternoons. The show is packed with humor and conversations often get wild as the hosts get drunk during the show. Drinking beer during the show has become a trademark of Diggnation and they have even spun off a business off it. Kevin Rose is the perfect example of a 21st century geek who not only can be smart, but can also be just as cool as any other person.

Revision3 has quite a handful of other shows. For more serious tech stories and tech interviews, I would recommend the GigaOM show that is hosted by Om Malik himself. I must warn though that some of the episodes are just not as interesting as others and my advice would be to watch episodes that the guest is from an area you are interested in. For people interested in Photoshop, you can learn a few tricks in PixelPerfect where the host goes through how to achieve some effects.

Broadcast media is definitely slowly moving towards the internet where users will have more control on what they want to watch and when they want to watch. We will be covering more online video sites so stay tuned!
